12 days and 3 countries later I’m happy to be back home and even more excited to share some stories about my big trip to Europe! I’ve always dreamed of going on a trip like this and having studied history in school, Europe has always been at the top of my travel list.
My cousin Alyssa and her now husband Michal got engaged last year and they live in Warsaw, Poland which is his hometown and currently where Alyssa has been teaching for a few years. Alyssa is practically my sister so I knew I’d try my hardest to come to her wedding and I’m beyond happy that I made it out to celebrate!! Despite the stressful days of planning the trip, catching flights at decent prices or finding hotels in convenient areas, the entire trip passed by in the blink of an eye and I just wish I could replay the entire thing over again!
While I won’t get into all the details of my trip in one post, as I’m still fighting off a bit of jet lag having landed yesterday afternoon, I’ve decided to create a travel series where I’ll be talking about different parts of my trip over the next few weeks. I started and ended my time abroad in Warsaw but managed to go and see London and Paris in between and it’s probably the best trip I’ve had to date. In 12 days I got to party with my family and celebrate Alyssa and Michal’s wedding, explore Warsaw and Krakow and venture off to have a taste of London and Paris. It was a trip I never thought I would be able to pull off, not for years, and though I’m safely home and happy to be back there is a small part of me that’s already planning the next trip out. Can’t wait to share some stories and pictures on here soon!
